Maria Gigliotti, LCSW-R
- Born and raised in the Finger Lakes and currently residing in Seneca Falls.
- Graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology in 1993 with a Bachelors Degree in Social Work
- Masters in Social Work from Syracuse University
I spent several years working with various populations trying to find my niche. I dabbled in the fields of addiction and mental health as well as managing an entire mediation program. I decided in 1999 that in order to be the best Social Worker I could be I needed to return to school.
I then attended Syracuse University and graduated with a Masters Degree in Social Work. I went on to work in residential treatment then a county mental health clinic until the message was clear that it was time to open my own practice and I began that process in 2011.
I simultaneously began to provide consultation services to a local nursing home to support their residents and staff. Within the consulting role I began to provide staff training and development on various topics and expanded my role at that organization. My role at the nursing home continued to expand to clinical supervision and staff support when they are struggling to balance work and self-care.
This has led to a desire to provide support and guidance to organizations to help them create a culture that includes the mental health and wellness of their employees and that was the birth of Crossroads of Culture Change.
Beyond work I spend my time watching my son play sports or connecting with family and friends. I am fortunate to have found a balance between work and self-care and I truly believe we all deserve that. I hope one of my services can bring you clarity and solutions for you, your family or your organization.
